11 minutes in heaven

To move away from starving artist mentality and towards prosperous creator we'll harnesses the magic of kundalini teachings to deep dive into the creative state where words and feelings flow from the cushion to the page. Together we'll move through a movement sequence to get out of the head and into the heart. We'll drop in with a meditation for creativity, removing creative blockages and fear so we can get still enough to feel the flow. We'll write for 11 minutes - just enough to see what happens when we've dropped our guard, our inner critic, and the need to look good. The goal is to act as a channel for grace and spontaneity so we can touch the essence of creation.

get centred in your moon centres

To bring more harmony into our lives and understand our truest nature as womxn*, we can turn to Yogi Bhajan’s teachings about the 11 moon centres: zones in the body that are activated at different times in the cycle of the moon. These centres influence how we interact with the world on both a micro and macro level.

Together we’ll identify the moon centres and their qualities, work our way through a document to start tracking your cycle in conjunction with the moon, and practice the highest meditation a womxn can do to bring balance to these centres. As we develop love and respect for ourself we help to change the global system at its very core. Expect a discussion, pranayam (breath exercise), kriya (dynamic movement), deep relaxation with gong, and meditation.

scrambled eggs: healing after brain injury

If you or someone you love has experienced head trauma, you’ve most likely come to learn that life with an ‘invisible injury’ is confusing and misunderstood. The process of becoming your post-injury self is varied: just like no two people are alike, no two brain injuries are alike.

Join traumatic brain injury survivor Krista Schilter in this all-levels workshop to discuss cognitive, physical, and emotional side effects from personal experience. We’ll explore how a mindfulness practice can help you meet yourself exactly where you’re at and how movement, meditation, and breathwork can transform your life post-TBI. We’ll use Kundalini Yoga techniques to balance the hemispheres of the brain, increase blood flow, manage symptoms, and increase memory, processing speed, and cognition.

get elemental: weekend at woodfield

An autumn weekend getaway to find true nature: a place to honour our humanness through the exploration of the elements within and around.

We'll do grounding exercises including a walking meditation on crunchy leaves, yin yoga, and feeding/petting/loving the cutest lil goats.

We'll clean up all the sticky shit that keeps us feeling small using kundalini yoga and we'll celebrate it with a fire ceremony where we can cry and laugh and scream all the same.

We'll elevate ourselves and each other with several chances to move: flow/vinyasa/hatha yoga + meditation and a special early morning sadhana for those up with the sun. There will be ample chances to suck back some Muskoka air with simple and profound breath-work and free time to explore, hike, read, write, be. 

The aim is to reconnect with Self through the natural world so we can reset + recharge. 

The finer things:

  • $650 (tax included) | full payment is required to reserve a spot as space is limited

  • includes double occupancy lodging, local organic breakfast/lunch/dinner/snacks, 5 yoga classes, nature-based connection, meditation, ceremony

The bandhas are the locks applied to different areas in the body to direct the flow of energy – prana and apana. They allow an equilibrium to be established that has an enormous impact on the entire system of the body and mind.

Together in this all-levels movement workshop, we’ll tap into the three main bandhas: neck, diaphragm, and root. In learning to contract and control various muscles in the physical body we can circulate prana in the subtle body. In yoga asana, mastering these inner gymnastics helps to consolidate the effects and efforts of each exercise, bringing more potency and power to your practice.

Kundalini Yoga can act as a powerful technology to completely transform your life.
