The bandhas are the locks applied to different areas in the body to direct the flow of energy – prana and apana. They allow an equilibrium to be established that has an enormous impact on the entire system of the body and mind.
Together in this all-levels movement workshop, we’ll tap into the three main bandhas: neck, diaphragm, and root. In learning to contract and control various muscles in the physical body we can circulate prana in the subtle body. In yoga asana, mastering these inner gymnastics helps to consolidate the effects and efforts of each exercise, bringing more potency and power to your practice.
